The issuer advises that the following replaces the Purchase of Own Securities
announcement released at 9:51am today under RNS number 8295P. An amendment has
been made to the issued share capital in the last line, which now reads as
284,712,760, instead of 284,715,760 as previously stated. All other details
remain unchanged. The full amended text is detailed below.
Artisan (UK) plc ('the Company')
Purchase of Own Securities
At the Annual General Meeting of the Company held on 4 September 2001,
Shareholders granted the Company authority to purchase up to 43,080,000
ordinary shares. The Company announces that on 10 January 2002 it has
purchased a further 250,000 of the Company's ordinary shares at 7.625p per
share. On cancellation of these shares the Company's issued share capital will
be 284,712,760 ordinary shares.
