                          Statement re Press Comment




The Directors of Artisan note the weekend press comment and can confirm that
they are currently in talks with Ennstone for the acquisition of Rippon Homes.
The final terms of the acquisition have not yet been agreed between the two
parties. A further announcement will be made in due course.
