Results of Placing

BMO Global Smaller Companies PLC (the "Company") announces the results of the sale of the 80,618 new fully paid ordinary shares of 25p each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") allotted as a result of the conversion by the Trustee of those conversion rights in respect of the 3.5 per cent. Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock 2019 of the Company ("CULS") for which no conversion requests were received.

80,618 Ordinary Shares were sold today in the market at a price of 1396 pence per Ordinary Share.  The net proceeds of the sale shall be distributed to those CULS holders who made no conversion request, pro rata to their holding of unconverted CULS, and such payment is expected to be made as soon as practicable after 12 August 2019.
