The following amendment has been made to the Transaction in Own Shares announcement released on 1 March 2022 at 17:04 under RNS No 2748D.

Following the above transaction, the Company holds 63,542,031 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 556,991,739 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is now 556,991,739. The above figure ( 556,991,739) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.

TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

In accordance with Listing Rule 12.4.6, BMO Global Smaller Companies plc (the 'Company') announces today it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 2.5 pence each on the London Stock Exchange through Stifel Nicolaus Europe Limited.

Ordinary Shares:

Number of ordinary shares purchased:  130,000

Lowest price per share:  149.60p

Highest price per share:  150.40p

Aggregate volume per trading venue:  130,000

The Company intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.
