The Evolution Group Plc
("the Group")
AGM Trading Update
At today's Annual General Meeting of The Evolution Group Plc, the listed
investment bank and private client fund management group, the Chairman, Martin
Gray, gave the following trading update to shareholders:
"I am pleased to report that since the publication of our preliminary results on
2 April 2007 the encouraging trend shown during the first three months of 2007
has continued and the Group is trading in line with expectations.
Evolution Securities has continued to grow its secondary franchise through
significant gains in market share which have resulted in strong growth in income
from these activities over the levels seen in previous periods. Meanwhile it has
developed its primary business of corporate finance and corporate broking to
plan and has an excellent pipeline of transactions in the short and medium term.
Williams de Broe, the Group's private client fund management business, has
maintained the strong momentum in winning new funds under management over the
course of this year. With this momentum and significant recruitment completed
across the branches we remain on track to reach our current target of £3 billion
of funds under management.
The Board looks forward to continuing progress during the remainder of 2007."
