                         Director's Purchase of Shares

The Evolution Group plc ("the Company") announces that it received notification
on 11 July 2002 that Mr Alex Snow, Chairman & CEO, purchased on that day 125,000
ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 40 pence per share. This brings his
total holding to 369,102 ordinary shares in the Company.

The Company also announces that it received notification on 11 July 2002 that Mr
Richard Griffiths, Deputy Chairman, purchased on that day 375,000 ordinary
shares in the Company at a price of 40 pence per share. This brings his total
holding to 4,828,615 ordinary shares in the Company.
