                         Director's Purchase of Shares

The Evolution Group plc ("the Company") announces that it received notification
on 16 July 2002 that Mr Richard Griffiths, Deputy Chairman, purchased on that
day 370,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 40 pence per share.
This brings his total holding to 5,198,675 ordinary shares in the Company.
