The Evolution Group Plc (the "Company") announces that it received notification
on 26 January 2006 from Aberforth Partners LLP ("Aberforth") that on 20 January
2006 (initial implementation of the Transparency Directive) Aberforth was
interested in 17,109,242 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Shares")
representing an indirect interest in approximately 7.73% of the issued Ordinary
Share Capital of the Company.

The interest held is by virtue of Aberforth being the controlled undertaking
through which the voting rights over the Shares are effectively held.
