DIRECTORS' SHAREHOLDINGS

1.      D Ross Macdonald, Joint Managing Director of the Company, has today
purchased 10,000 Shares at a price of 11.75p each. Mr Macdonald's interest in
the share capital of the Company has increased from 459,222 Shares (0.295%) to
469,222 Shares (0.301%).

2.      Robert F M Adair, Chairman of the Company, has today purchased 12,000
Shares at a price of 11.75p each. Mr Adair's interest in the share capital of
the Company has increased from 128,211,549 Shares (82.31%) to 128,223,549 Shares
(82.32%).

The Shares referred to in the announcement are the issued Ordinary Shares of 2p
each in the Company.
