Appointment of Alternate Director

The Board of Thor Mining Plc ("Thor" or the "Company") (AIM, ASX: THR), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Stephen Ronaldson as an Alternate Director of the Company, with immediate effect for a period of 2 business days only.

Stephen Ronaldson is the joint company secretary and will represent the Company's board of directors in person at the General Meeting on 12 April 2013 as a result of no other director being able to attend in person. Mick Billing, the Company's Chairman, will attend the General Meeting via telephone conference.

Stephen Frank Ronaldson, aged 57, currently holds, and has held (including all appointments during the five years preceding the date of this announcement), the following directorships and partnerships, other than of the Company:
