Trading Halt on the Australian Securities Exchange ("ASX")

Dated: 25 September 2012

Thor Mining Plc ("Thor" or "the Company") (AIM, ASX: THR) advise that its shares have been placed in a trading halt on the ASX, pending the release of an announcement in respect of a proposed capital raising in Australia.

The announcement of the raising will be released to the market prior to the commencement of trading on the ASX on Thursday 27th September, upon which the ASX trading halt will cease.

Trading of shares in the Company on the AIM market will continue during this period.
