FW Thorpe plc - Executive changes

With effect from 30th June 2000, Mr Colin Brangwin will be retiring as
full-time Chairman and Chief Executive of the Group but he will continue as
the non-executive Chairman of the Group.

Mr Andrew Thorpe and Mr Peter Mason will become the joint Chief Executives of
the Group taking effect from 1 July 2000.  They will continue with their
existing responsibilities as Managing Director of Thorlux Lighting and Group
Financial Director respectively.
