FW Thorpe plc (AIM:TFW), a company which specialises in designing and
manufacturing lighting equipment for the specification market, is pleased to
announce the appointment to the board of Antony Michael Cooper ('Tony Cooper'),
David Taylor and Nicholas Anthony Colin Brangwin as executive Directors with
immediate effect.
Tony Cooper, aged 45, graduated from Loughborough University with a B.Tech in
Production Engineering and Management in 1984 and became a Chartered Engineer in
1988. Mr Cooper worked in various manufacturing industries, including Mars
Electronics and Thomas & Betts, before joining Thorlux Lighting as Manufacturing
Director (non plc board, service position) in 1998. Mr Cooper is a non-executive
Director of Compact Lighting Limited.
David Taylor, aged 46, joined FW Thorpe plc in 1978. On completion of a
commercial apprenticeship leading to an HNC in Business Studies Mr Taylor worked
in various roles at Thorlux Lighting and elsewhere within the Group. In 1993, Mr
Taylor became a non-executive Director of Compact Lighting Limited until 1996
when he took up his present role as Managing Director of Philip Payne Limited.
Nicholas Brangwin, aged 38, joined Mackwell Electronics Limited, the emergency
lighting component division of FW Thorpe Plc, in 1991, having previously worked
within the Electrical Wholesale sector. Mr Brangwin's initial years were spent
developing the UK business, moving to Export Sales Manager in 1998 to set up and
develop the company's international business. He was appointed Sales Director
(non plc board, service position) of Mackwell Electronics Limited in 2004 and
was previously a Director of Blues Digital Visual Limited (dissolved under
creditors voluntary liquidation in 2007).
The three new directors are interested in the following number of ordinary
shares of 10p each in the capital of the Company:

Andrew Thorpe, Chairman of FW Thorpe plc, said:
