The Board of TI Fluid Systems plc is pleased to announce that Dr. Trudy Schoolenberg has been appointed to the Board of the Company effective 5 September 2022. She will serve as its Senior Independent Director and has also been appointed to the Nomination Committee.
Trudy currently serves on the boards of SPIE SA (Euronext Paris), Elementis plc (FTSE listed) and Accsys Technologies plc (AIM and Euronext listed). She was previously on the boards of Avantium N.V., Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc, Low and Bonar plc, and The Netherlands Petroleum Stockpiling Agency (COVA).
From 1989 to 2016, Trudy gained strong strategic, growth and operational experience working for companies in the chemicals, engineering and high performance product sectors, including Akzo Nobel N.V., Wärtsilä Oy and Royal Dutch Shell plc.
Trudy has a Ph.D. in Technical Physics from the Delft University of Technology (Netherlands) and also holds a master's degree in Industrial Engineering.
Tim Cobbold, the Company's Non-Executive Chair, said:

Trudy is an experienced Non-Executive Director with a long standing background in technology and product development which will complement and strengthen the capabilities of the Board as the business implements its Take the Turn strategy to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the automotive industry's transition to electric vehicles."
Following Trudy's appointment, Stephen Thomas stepped down from the Nomination Committee. As such, the Nomination Committee is now comprised of three independent non‑executive directors: Tim Cobbold (Chair), Trudy Schoolenberg (SID) and Julie Baddeley.
