Great Ormond Street use Timestrip© to support the monitoring process for frequency of cleaning ward equipment
Timestrip plc is pleased to announce that the Great Ormond Street Hospital ('GOSH') has recently
commenced using its patented Timestrip smart labels to support the monitoring and audit processes for the
cleaning of equipment and their associated schedules.
Timestrip smart labels give a visual indication of elapsed time and are already used in a wide range of industry
sectors. They allow end users to keep track of how long a product has been open, when to replace an item
and when to repeat a process.
Commenting on the initial roll-out, Margaret Hollis, Head of Decontamination and Logistics at GOSH said,
'Timestrip smart labels offer an effective and clearly visible way of monitoring equipment that has been
cleaned, also showing how long ago it was cleaned and when it is next due to be cleaned'.
This latest application for the Timestrip technology was arranged by Health Edge Consumables
(www.healthedgeconsumables.co.uk) who act as resellers for the Company in the UK healthcare sector.
Stuart Fluck, Director of Health Edge Consumables said, 'We are always looking for new technologies and
products that help our customers achieve their objectives. We are seeing a high level of interest in the
Timestrip technology in various areas from cleaning and catering through to aseptic drug distribution
management. Any application or process that needs to be monitored for time and temperature has a use for
Timestrip indicator labels.'
