Luton & Dunstable Hospital orders TimestripIV for in-use assessment
The Company is delighted to announce that Luton & Dunstable Hospital, has become the second hospital to place an order for the recently launched TimestripIV product, which has been designed to help hospitals comply with existing policy directives that stipulate the need to change Peripheral Intravenous Cannulae (PVCs) every 72 hours.
Luton & Dunstable Trust, an NHS Foundation Trust, will use the products to undertake an in-use assessment of TimestripIV along the same lines as the recently announced assessment by the Whittington Hospital in London.
Paul Freedman, Joint CEO Timestrip plc: 'We are delighted that Luton & Dunstable Hospital has recognized the potential benefits of using TimestripIV as part of its infection control protocols. We are now actively marketing TimestripIV within the NHS in order to widen the network of hospitals using the product as quickly as possible.'
Prof Anthony Palmer, Deputy CEO and Director of Nursing & Clinical Quality at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital, said, 'TimestripIV is an easy-to-use device that provides a visual reminder to nursing staff to change the cannula every three days. This improves patient safety and releases more time to care for patients. It also empowers patients to remind staff when a cannula needs changing.'
