Timestrip PLC 16 August 2007 Timestrip plc (the 'Company') (AIM: TIME) Technology endorsed by German government agency The Company is a developer and manufacturer of unique label technologies. The Company is pleased to announce that its smart label technology known as the Timestrip(R) has been accredited by Germany's equivalent of the UK's Food Standards Agency, the Bundesverband der Lebensmittelkontrolleure. The organisation, known as BVLK, is a member of the European Working Community for Food Inspection and Consumer Protection. BVLK concluded that Timestrip smart labels make 'a very good contribution to food safety', commenting that the 'easily readable colour strip' on the label makes it easy to determine the freshness, or otherwise, of a product. The Company is now permitted to use the BVLK logo and state that its labels are recommended by the organisation. Almost a third of all organic food sold in the EU is consumed in Germany so freshness is very important in this market.
