Notification of US Patent to Protect Web3 Intellectual Property

The board of directors (the "Board") of Tintra ,  the fast-growth Deep Tech & Banking business, is pleased to announce it was notified on Friday by the United States Patent & Trademark Office (the "USPTO") , of the forthcoming grant of a patent (the "Patent").  The Patent forms part of the applications first announced on 11 July 2022 and updated on 2 February 2023, and based on this result the Group now expects that further patents under these applications will be granted this year, at which point further updates will be made.

The USPTO has notified Tintra that the Patent will be issued on 28 March 2023 with number 11615399.  The Patent relates to Tintra's innovations in AML, KYC and Web 3.0 technologies, specifically around connecting regulated and unregulated wallets.  The Patent will be held by Tintra 3.0 Limited.

Dr Davy Smith, the Company's Chief Innovation Officer, said: "This is a very big step for Tintra. The granting of this patent represents the first concrete confirmation of the ground-breaking technological advancements we are making.

This is a huge validation of the deep work that we are undertaking and means that once operational Tintra will be uniquely positioned to provide identity verification in a decentralized manner, whilst still operating within strict regulatory rules and conditions.

This patent results from our significant R&D into secure, verifiable, and decentralised methods for identity verification. Others tend to take a polemic view of Web3 vs legacy systems. Today's announcement is a huge support for the fact that Tintra is already leading the way in building these bridges.
