Secret Neighbor tops charts on iOS after strong PS4 debut
Warm reception to Tinykin announcement at E3
tinyBuild, Inc. (AIM: TBLD), a leading video games publisher and developer with global operations, is pleased to announce that Secret Neighbor topped the charts on the Apple App Store, after a successful launch on the PS4 in April 2021.
Secret Neighbor had over 300k downloads on iOS last weekend (19-20 June). Secret Neighbor is a multiplayer spin-off in the Hello Neighbor franchise, where a group of intruders try to rescue their friend from the Neighbor's creepy basement. Secret Neighbor was originally released on Steam in October 2019 and it is enjoying a second wave of popularity with new platform launches including PS4 and iOS this year. A Nintendo Switch release is planned later in 2021.
The positive halo effect extends over adjacent titles with three Hello Neighbor games featuring in the top charts of Apple App Store, in a number of countries. Downloads of back catalogue[1] titles also recently crossed 60m (20m added since April). The Hello Neighbor franchise is performing strongly in 2021 with more than 6 million downloads of Hello Neighbor 2 playable Alpha (2 million added since April).
Furthermore, in line with tinyBuild's release schedule, the Company recently announced a new title Tinykin at E3, the annual trade fair for the video games industry. In Tinykin, players will use hundreds of creatures (the tinykin) to help Milo get back to normal size and return to his home planet. Each tinykin has its own unique powers to create bridges and ladders, remove obstacles, and trigger explosives. The game is the most successful announcement made at E3 by tinyBuild to date.
Alex Nichiporchik, Chief Executive Officer of tinyBuild, commented:
"Secret Neighbor was one of our first spin-offs of the Hello Neighbor franchise and it is great to see the fanbase growing on new platforms. We're delighted to have recently announced Tinykin, adding more quality titles to tinyBuild's portfolio. The success of Secret Neighbor, and positive reaction to tinyKin demonstrate our ability to strike a balance between catalogue titles and new releases."
