The Company was informed on 5 November 2004 by F&C Asset Management plc that,
following a purchase of 579,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company
('Ordinary Shares'), it is interested in 20,646,575 Ordinary Shares representing
12.32 per cent. of the Company's current total issued ordinary share capital of
167,580,844 Ordinary Shares.



The above holding includes the material interest of FPCP Stewardship who hold
6,428,366 Ordinary Shares, held under the registered name HSBC GS Nominees Ltd,
representing 3.84 per cent. of the Company's current total issued ordinary share
capital and Stewardship Investment Funds ICVC Stewardship Growth who hold
5,053,150 Ordinary Shares, held under the registered name Chase Nominees Ltd,
representing 3.02 per cent. of the Company's current total issued ordinary share
capital.
