The Company was informed on 18 April 2005 by F&C Asset Management plc that,
following a purchase of 25,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company
('Ordinary Shares'), it is interested in 22,307,666 Ordinary Shares representing
12.01 per cent. of the Company's current total issued ordinary share capital of
185,777,306 Ordinary Shares.

The above holding includes the material interest of FPCP Stewardship who hold
6,737,790 Ordinary Shares, held under the registered name HSBC GS Nominees Ltd,
representing 3.62 per cent. of the Company's current total issued ordinary share
capital.
