NEW BOARD APPOINTMENT
Torex Retail plc, a leading provider of IT solutions to major European
retailers, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Moore as
non-executive Deputy Chairman. The appointment is effective immediately.
Chris Moore (49), currently non-executive Chairman of the retail IT services
group XN Checkout, has extensive experience with over 20 years experience within
the IT sector. He led the team at Torex PLC from March 1996 to April 2004, where
he built up the business into a European market leader in healthcare information
systems and an established force within Retail IT. During his time at Torex, the
Group grew dramatically both organically and by acquisition, with the market
capitalisation growing from £10m to £350m.
Rob Loosemore, Executive Chairman of Torex Retail, commented:
'Chris has vast experience from within the IT and the Retail sector. He will
bring an added dimension to the board with his expertise and experience gained
from leading Torex PLC's transition into a highly successful quoted company
