Netcentric Systems PLC 26 April 2001 Netcentric Systems Expands European Presence and Appoints European Sales Director Web content and information management providers, Netcentric Systems plc ('Netcentric'), announced today that it has expanded its presence into Europe, moving into several new markets including France, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain and Sweden, complementing its existing operations in the UK. To spearhead the drive into Europe and to develop a European reseller infrastructure, Netcentric has appointed Phillip Campbell as European Sales Director. He will be appointed to the Board of the Group's wholly owned subsidiary, Netcentric Systems (Europe) Ltd. Campbell's career in the IT sector began at Rank Xerox and includes senior roles at Wang Computers (USA), Nemyses (UK) and Gauss Interprise AG (Germany). In 1991, Campbell took up a position at a start-up venture, Nemyses Partnership. Here he developed a sales and marketing programme for a newly developed suite of CD-ROM based training system. Nemyses achieved £11m turnover and grew its workforce to 120 staff with 143 international resellers. Campbell's position prior to joining Netcentric was with Gauss Interprise AG, believed to have developed the world's first web content management system, where Campbell led the company into Europe and in one year established 8 European offices. With a growing geographical presence, Netcentric will be better positioned to assist pan-European companies to take control of their web publishing and information management strategies.
