Permit approval for Field Test

TomCo Energy plc (AIM: TOM), the US operating oil shale exploration and development group focused on using innovative technology to unlock unconventional hydrocarbon resources, provides the following update regarding the field test programme at the Company's Holliday A Block in Utah (the "Field Test").

Further to the Company's announcement of 8 May and 24 June 2019, the Company is pleased to announce that the Utah Division of Oil, Gas and Mining ("DOGM") has approved TomCo's application for the Notice of Intention to Conduct Exploration permit ("NOI") on the Holliday Block required to undertake the Field Test.

The NOI, along with the Utah Division of Water Rights acceptance to conduct the drilling of the wells, means the Company now has the required permits it needs to drill the wells and to undertake the Field Test.  Himes Drilling Company Inc. have confirmed they will mobilise their equipment to site this week and will commence drilling the week commencing the 8 July.
