Mr Liggett and Mr Ounstead exercised options over 180,000 Shares and 90,000
Shares respectively on 30 July 1999 at an exercise price of 50p per share. 
Following this exercise Mr Liggett and Mr Ounstead hold options over 420,000
Shares and 280,000 Shares respectively at an exercise price of 50p per Share.

The Shares sold were placed with institutional investors at a price of 236p
per Share on 30 July 1999.
