                           Transaction in Own Shares

Further to previous announcements concerning the facility set up for
shareholders in the Company holding 10,000 ordinary shares or less ('Small
Shareholders') to be able to dispose of their shares in the Company at nil cost
('Nil Cost Dealing Facility'), the Company announces that Small Shareholders
have tendered a further 4,000 ordinary shares under the Nil Cost Dealing
Facility prior to the dealing date of 30 September 2006 and the Company has
bought for cancellation 4,000 ordinary shares at 57.5p per share.

Following this transaction, there are 93,129,391 ordinary shares in issue.
