Directorate Changes
Tullett Prebon plc (the "Company") today announces the appointment of Roger Perkin as an independent non-executive director, with effect from 1 July 2012. The Company also announces that Keith Hamill, the non-executive Chairman of the Company, intends to retire from the Board before the end of the year.
Keith Hamill has been Chairman of Tullett Prebon plc since it was listed in 2006, prior to which he served as Chairman of Collins Stewart plc and subsequently Collins Stewart Tullett plc from 2000 to 2006. A process to identify a new non-executive Chairman for the Company is underway. A further announcement will be made in due course.
Roger Perkin joined Ernst & Young in 1969, became a partner in 1979 and focused on financial services clients throughout his career, serving many of the best known names in the industry. Following his retirement from the firm in 2009, Roger Perkin was appointed as a non-executive director and the chairman of the audit committee for Nationwide Building Society and Electra Private Equity plc, positions which he continues to hold. Roger Perkin also served as a non-executive director of Evolution Group plc, a position which he held until from January 2010 until the acquisition of Evolution Group plc in December 2011.
Following his appointment as an independent non-executive director of the Company, Roger Perkin will become a member of the Audit Committee and will replace David Clark as Chairman of that Committee at the end of July 2012. David Clark will continue as a member of the Audit Committee until his retirement as an independent non-executive director of the Company which will now be after the AGM in 2013.
There are no other disclosures required under rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the Financial Services Authority in connection with the appointment of Roger Perkin.
