TRIO HOLDINGS PLC ('TRIO')

Completion of the disposal of Trio's 11.57 per cent. Shareholding in City
Networks Limited (City Networks') for £2.646 million

The Board of Trio is very pleased to announce that this disposal, which had
been subject to finalisation of City Networks' financing arrangements, has
completed.  The full cash proceeds of £2.646 million have been received.

This completion followed the Extraordinary General Meeting of Trio held on 16
October 2000, at which an ordinary resolution to approve the disposal of
Trio's shareholding in City Networks Limited was duly passed.
