Correction - date of extraordinary general meeting 

The announcement at 7.00 a.m. today of the publication of the Travis Perkins plc Prospectus and Circular should state that the extraordinary general meeting will be held on Wednesday 27 May 2009 rather than Friday 27 May 2009. The full amended text appears below.

TRAVIS PERKINS PLC - PUBLICATION OF PROSPECTUS AND CIRCULAR

Further to the announcement today regarding a fully underwritten rights issue to raise gross proceeds of approximately £314 million (approximately £300 million net of expenses) by the issue of 85,903,379 new shares (the 'Rights Issue'), Travis Perkins plc ('Travis Perkins') announces that a prospectus relating to the Rights Issue (the 'Prospectus') was approved by the UK Listing Authority (the 'UKLA') on 11 May 2009. 

A circular to shareholders relating to the Rights Issue (the 'Circular'), including a notice convening an extraordinary general meeting of Travis Perkins to be held on Wednesday 27 May 2009 at 11.00 a.m. at the offices of Linklaters LLP, One Silk Street, London EC2Y 8HQ, will be posted to shareholders today. Copies of the Circular will also be available on the Travis Perkins website at www.travisperkinsplc.com.

Copies of the Prospectus will be available at the registered office of Travis Perkins at Lodge Way House, Lodge Way, Harlestone Road, Northampton NN5 7UG and on the Travis Perkins website at www.travisperkinsplc.com.

Both the Circular and the Prospectus will shortly be available for inspection at the UKLA's Document Viewing Facility which is situated at:
