Travis Perkins plc ('the Company') was notified on 9th November 2007 that Mr
Paul Hampden Smith, a Director of the Company, purchased today 3,781 ordinary
shares of 10p each in the Company at a price of 1375p per share.


As a result, Mr Hampden Smith now has a beneficial interest in 39,446 ordinary
shares of 10p each in the Company, representing less than 0.1% of the issued
