Travis Perkins plc ('the Company') was notified on 16th November 2007 that Mr
Paul Hampden Smith, a Director of the Company, purchased on 16th November 2007
2,235 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at a price of 1335p per share.

As a result, Mr Hampden Smith now has a beneficial interest in 41,690 ordinary
shares of 10p each in the Company, representing less than 0.1% of the issued
share capital.

The Company was also notified on 16th November 2007 that Mrs Barbara Cooper, the
wife of Mr Geoff Cooper, a Director of the Company, purchased on 16th November
2007, 22,221 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at a price of 1340p per
share. As a result, Mr Cooper now has a beneficial interest in 43,531 ordinary
shares of 10p each in the Company, representing less than 0.1% of the issued
share capital.
