Travis Perkins plc ('the Company') was notified today that Mr J.P.Carter, a
Director of Travis Perkins plc, purchased 7,500 ordinary shares of 10p each in
the Company at a price of 1555p per share. His wife also purchased 7,500
ordinary shares of 10 each in the company at a price of 1555p per share.


As a result, Mr Carter now has a beneficial interest in 34,915 ordinary shares
of 10p each in the Company, representing less than 0.1% of the issued share
capital.
