                 Frank McKay retires from Travis Perkins board


Frank McKay, chief executive of Travis Perkins plc until he handed over that
role to Geoff Cooper on 1 March, has retired from the board.  As stated
previously, Mr McKay will continue to be an employee of Travis Perkins until his
formal retirement from the company in October this year.  Frank's principal
involvement currently is with the integration of the Wickes acquisition.
