Further to the announcement made on 9 December 2004 of Geoff Cooper's
appointment as Chief Executive Designate Travis Perkins announces the following
information pursuant to Paragraph 16.4 of the Listing Rules.

Within the last five years Mr Cooper has been a Director of Alliance Unichem plc
and Abbey National plc.  Mr Cooper is no longer a director of either of these
companies.

No information falls to be disclosed pursuant to Paragraph 16.4(b) of the
Listing Rules.
