                        Grant of Options to Directors


The Board of Travis Perkins plc (the 'Company' or 'Travis Perkins') was
informed yesterday that three Directors of the Company were yesterday granted
options under the Travis Perkins 2001 Executive Share Option Scheme over
ordinary shares of the Company at an exercise price of 756p. The exercise
period is from 4 July 2004 to 3 July 2011. Details of the Directors, number of
options granted and total options held following grant are set out below:
