letter dated 26 September 2003 from Standard Life Investments 'Standard Life',
that due to the sale of 12,072 Ordinary Shares of Travis Perkins, Standard
Life's material interest in that class of shares is now 3,378,017 and that this
is less than 3% of the issued shares of that class.
