The Board of Travis Perkins plc has today received notification from Aviva plc
that following the sale of 91,497 shares on 20 December 2004 Morley Fund
Management Ltd (a subsidiary of Aviva plc) has a material interest in 5,732,788
shares, representing 4.76 per cent. of the Travis Perkins issued share capital.

The shares are registered in the names of BNY Norwich Union Nominees Ltd
(1,471,034 shares held), Chase GA Group Nominees Ltd (2,716,123 shares held) and
CUIM Nominee Ltd  (1,545,631 shares held).
