Aviva plc that following sales totalling 200,000 shares on 4th August 2005
Morley Fund Management Limited (a subsidiary of Aviva plc) has a material
interest in 3,450,464 shares, representing 2.86 per cent of the Travis Perkins
issued share capital.

The shares are registered in the names of BNY Norwich Union Nominees Ltd
(964,364 shares held), Chase GA Group Nominees Ltd (1,600,495 shares held), CUIM
Nominee Ltd (783,905 shares held), and Chase Nominees Ltd (101,700 shares held).
