Trading Update
The management of Travis Perkins will host a presentation to analysts and
investors at 4.00pm on Thursday 12 January 2006 at The Barber-Surgeons Hall,
Monkwell Square, Wood Street, London EC2Y 5BL. The presentation is intended to
provide an overview of the Group as well as an update on its business strategy
in light of Travis Perkins' change of FTSE index classification into the
Business Services sector.
The company is currently in a close period ahead of its results for the year to
31 December 2005 which are due to be released on 8 March 2006. Consequently,
there will be no reference to current trading or the anticipated full year
results in today's presentation. However, the Board confirms that adjusted
profit before tax is expected to be not less than £205 million in the year to 31
December 2005, as outlined in the trading statement dated 11 November 2005.
