TREATT PLC ('Treatt')


Treatt announces that Mr Robin Mears, Group Technical Director, will become
Group Operations Director with effect from 1 October 2002. Treatt has recruited
a senior technical manager, of many years experience with flavour and fragrance
ingredients, to continue with the development of Treatt's technical resource.


Mr Mears will be primarily responsible for group operations, but he will also
work closely with the IT team on the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource
Planning system. Mr Mears has notified the company of his wish to retire earlier
than his normal retirement age, but he does not intend to do so before 31
January 2005.
