Treatt plc, the manufacturer and supplier of flavour and fragrance ingredients, announces the retirement of Douglas David Appleby from the Board of Directors on the 31st December 2009.

Having served 15 years as a Non-Executive Director and as Manufacturing Director of R.C. Treatt & Co Limited between 1982 and 1994, David has made a significant contribution to the success of the Group.

Hugo Bovill, Managing Director, commented "I would very much like to thank David for his tireless work for the Group and to wish him and his family a healthy and happy retirement".
