Treatt, the manufacturer and supplier of conventional, organic and fair trade ingredients for the flavour, fragrance and cosmetic industries announces that Jeff Iliffe will be appointed as a Non-executive Director of the Company, with effect from the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on 25th February 2013. This corresponds with the timing of Peter Thorburn's retirement from the Board, which was announced on 3rd October 2012.

Jeff Iliffe is Chief Financial Officer and Director of Cambridge-based Abcam Plc, an AIM listed global leader in the supply of high quality protein research tools.  He has extensive experience of the City, industry and internet-based business. Jeff was a corporate financier at Panmure Gordon & Co. between 1989 and 1996, during which time he advised Treatt, and has held a number of financial positions at companies including Enviros Group Limited and Plethora Solutions plc, an AIM listed company. Prior to joining Abcam in 2007, he was Chief Financial Officer at the eCommerce company St Minver Ltd.

Tim Jones, Chairman of Treatt, commenting on the appointment, said "I am delighted Jeff has agreed to join the Board.  His financial skills and commercial experience will be of great benefit to the Group whilst  his past City experience and knowledge of Treatt bring insight to the markets we serve and the shareholders to whom we account."

Treatt confirms that there is no further information to be disclosed under the requirements of Listing Rule 9.6.13 in relation to this appointment and Mr Iliffe does not have any interest in the shares of Treatt.
