AGM Statement

Canisp PLC 09 October 2007 Canisp plc ('Canisp' or 'the Company' AGM Statement Canisp, the specialist UK telecoms company announces that at the annual general meeting held today, all resolutions proposed were duly passed. Commenting, Michael Hirschfield, Chairman of Canisp, said: 'In the Board's last report to shareholders just a month ago I said that the Company was now in a stronger position to compete commercially following a successful process to drive down costs and provide a solid commercial platform from which to offer an improved service to our customers, but also put the Company in a stronger position to develop new product offerings. This last year has seen a major change in the market with awareness of Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) and the benefits and impact that it will have on the traditional voice market, providing customers with a more cost effective and flexible commercial telecoms product but also introducing a new source of revenues into the market. I am pleased to report that we have continued to make very good progress with the development of a VOIP product which is currently undergoing beta testing. Once the testing process is complete we will take the new product to market through our dealer network who have already shown enthusiasm for the new product and service offering.' -ends- Enquiries: John Bick tel: +44(0)7917 649362 This information is provided by RNS The company news service from the London Stock Exchange
