Award of major student management system deployment
in New South Wales, Australia

Initial contract value in excess of Aus$40m

Further to our announcement of 13 January 2012, Tribal Group plc (Tribal), a leading provider of technology products and services to the education, learning and training markets in the UK and internationally, is pleased to announce that it has now signed contracts to supply its student management systems to the Student Administration and Learning Management component of the Learning Management and Business Reform (LMBR) programme currently being implemented by the Department of Education and Communities (DEC) in New South Wales, Australia.

This programme, which will involve Tribal's student management systems being deployed across DEC's environment in New South Wales, is part of a wider reform programme which brings together Tribal and SAP software systems.

The multiple year software licence and support contract with DEC is expected to have an initial value in excess of Aus $40m.  In addition to the software licence and support arrangements, Tribal will provide implementation and configuration support to this programme.

These contract awards underpin our expectations for 2012 and beyond.

Keith Evans, Tribal's Chief Executive, said:

"We are delighted with this opportunity to work with the New South Wales Department of Education and Communities, which leads one of the largest education systems in the world, in this important programme.  After an extensive and rigorous evaluation process, our appointment to this programme is a substantial endorsement of the capabilities of our people and student management systems."

"Tribal is the leading provider of student management systems to universities, colleges and training providers in the United Kingdom.  We have also provided our systems to an increasing number of important educational institutions in Australia and New Zealand over the last two years, most notably the University of Sydney.  Our role within the LMBR programme confirms our strong and growing position in Australasia."
