Tribal Group plc
Extension to Ofsted Quality Assurance Contract
and
Contract Win in Australia
Tribal Group plc ("Tribal"), a leading provider of software and services for education management, is pleased to announce the following contract progress, which supports our expectations for 2015.
Extension to Ofsted Early Years Quality Assurance contract
Tribal undertakes a range of quality assurance inspections on behalf of Ofsted, the UK's Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills, under a contract which commenced in August 2010 and was due to expire in August 2015. We are pleased to announce that, as anticipated, this contract has now been extended for up to 19 months until March 2017, with a likely value of over £18m.
Third state-wide college contract in Australia
We have signed an AUD2.5m contract to provide our student management systems to all Technical and Further Education colleges (TAFEs) in Tasmania, Australia. Tasmania's Department of Education owns and manages the state's 14 colleges through TasTAFE, which is Tasmania's largest provider of vocational education and training, and is one of the ten largest regional training organisations in Australia with around 32,700 enrolled students and 900 staff.
Our contract with TasTAFE represents the third Australian state-wide student management system contract won by Tribal. Alongside TasTAFE, we are delivering on our recently announced contract to provide our student management system to all 48 TAFE campuses in Queensland, and we are well advanced in our delivery of our Student Administration and Learning Management (SALM) contract with the New South Wales Department of Education, under which we have deployed our systems across its 138 TAFE campuses.
