£50 million OFSTED inspection services contracts
Tribal Group plc ('Tribal'), the leading UK consultancy and professional support
services company, is delighted to announce that it has signed two contracts with
Ofsted to provide Regional Inspection Services for the delivery of school
inspections.
The contracts, which have a combined value of about £50 million to Tribal over
four years, are for the delivery of inspection services over that period to
around 7,000 schools in the west midlands and south of England. The new
inspection arrangements will commence in September 2005. At present, Tribal
provides inspection services to 550 schools per annum. Details of the new
inspection arrangements can be found at Ofsted's website www.ofsted.gov.uk.
The award of the contracts means that Tribal, which has delivered school
inspections since 1996, is now the largest of the five providers of inspections
for Ofsted in England.
Henry Pitman, Chief Executive of Tribal, said 'We are delighted that Ofsted has
selected Tribal to be its Regional Inspection Services provider in two of the
six Ofsted regions. These are the largest contracts won to date by Tribal
Education, the group's education division.'
