                           GLASGOW INCOME TRUST PLC

The Board of Glasgow Income Trust plc has declared a third interim dividend of
1.0p per share (2000 - 0.9p per share) in respect of the year to 30 September
2001 payable on 30 November 2001 to shareholders on the register at close of
business on 9 November 2001. The total dividends declared to date amount to
3.0p per share (2000 2.15p per share).
