New Central American Contract For Power Generation Equipment
TT electronics announces that it has won a significant new order worth over £10
million for the supply of power generation equipment. The contract, for over 230
generator sets, was awarded by a new customer in Central America and will be
completed during 2006.
The power generation equipment business has performed very successfully since
the group's manufacturing operations were consolidated at its Mexico City base.
The significantly increased level of orders has led to an expansion of the low
cost manufacturing facility which continues to supply equipment into key global
markets including China and Africa.
John Newman, Executive Chairman of TT electronics, said:
'This is an important new customer for our business. It builds on the strong
market position we have established in Central America and our growing business
in the Asia Pacific region.'
