                £2.6 million Disposal of United Packaging PLC


As part of its disposal programme of non-core businesses, TT electronics plc
announces the sale of United Packaging PLC, a packaging machine and film
manufacturer to Helero BV, a wholly owned subsidiary of M.J.Maillis SA, a
manufacturer and distributor of packaging material & machines for cash
proceeds of £2.6million.



John W Newman, Executive Chairman of TT electronics plc commented:

'We have successfully now demerged or disposed of our major non-core
businesses. TT electronics is now fully focused on its electronic  and
electrical businesses.'
