Expansion Planned To Satisfy Growing Demand For New Sensor Technologies
TT electronics is pleased to announce plans to extend its sensor manufacturing
facility near Dresden, Germany by 25,000 sq. ft. Here the group has been
successful in developing a wide range of temperature and pressure sensors. These
include specialist high temperature sensors for emission controls for cars and
heavy goods vehicles.
TT electronics has also been awarded a valuable contract to develop sensors
integrating both temperature and pressure sensing functions. This is the group's
first development contract for combined sensors for the automotive market and
represents an important milestone in the expansion of pressure sensing
technology into the volume German automotive market.
John Newman, Executive Chairman, commented:-
'We are excited by the overall increase in the level of demand we are seeing for
sensors developed by our skilled engineers in Germany who continue to work
closely with our customers. This success has been demonstrated by the number of
orders won during the last eighteen months. We are confident that further
investment in this business will underpin its long term strength.'
